Our Mission
Our MissionOVERBROOK PRESS, LLC PUBLISHES FINE ART BOOKS, LITERARY FICTION, SCHOLARLY NONFICTION
AND WORKS IN TRANSLATION TO PROMOTE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS.
A hybrid model differs from traditional publishing in which the publisher assumes all costs for the production of a book, but also takes a high percentage of royalties. We are more interested in promoting books for their educationally and artistically intrinsic value than being driven solely by revenue potential.
Both author and publisher partner in sharing the production costs in a hybrid publishing project, which means the author gets a higher percentage of royalties from sales. The risk is shared, but if we believe in the book we are producing, then our success is also shared. It's a win-win proposition for all.

About Us
WE OFFER CLIENTS CREATIVE AND PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS FOR EDITING, DESIGN, AND PUBLISHING
I believe we get the best outcomes when we establish clear communication and trust, and work directly with one another. I tend to give my business to the best person for the job. The services I use are responsive because they care about my satisfaction. Likewise, I offer my clients the same commitment I've come to expect and appreciate.
Doing what I love as an independent editor and publisher is the result of many years' experience. I've enjoyed a diverse career in sales and consulting for the document management, prepress and printing technology industries. Focused on technology in the service of education and languages, I taught for years, as well, and learned what it takes to engage diverse audiences and share enthusiasm for your topic.
A graduate of Cornell University in History of Art and Spanish Literature, and of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, I am committed to creating products for my clients of the highest quality that are inspiring, educational, and professional.
I have a deep background in typography, graphic design, and photography, and work comfortably with a suite of applications for editing and creative projects. My experience spans a few decades, starting with illustrating college catalogs, typesetting galleys for independent publishers, writing technical manuals, and creating corporate product literature.
Recent projects include editing complex manuscripts for historians and academic scholars. I love delving in details, so my work is fun. I've written and published my own novel, and am currently working on an artist's portfolio book, and ghost-writing a memoir.

Book Formatting and Design
Once your manuscript is in its best form, the pre-press process of formatting text and images for the printed or electronic page begins. We work with a suite of applications, including Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign, to get your manuscript print-ready. We have extensive experience in typography, graphic design, and pre-press production so that we can meet and exceed your expectations.
Magazine Formatting and Design
Your project may be an annual report, an exhibition catalog or a quarterly magazine that requires editing, layout, design, ad insertions and directories. We can create a beautiful publication and work with printers to ensure that your project meets deadlines and stays within budget.
Publishing
We prepare your book so it can be published in hardcover, paperback and electronically. If you are working with a different publishing house, we will supply them with print-ready Adobe PDF files. If you prefer to use our publishing services, we will work directly with printers whose services we use for seamless delivery of your final product.
We also offer audio book format as a separate service.
Marketing and Distribution
If you are working with a different publisher, chances are they will be handling the printing, marketing, and distrubtion channels for your book.
Publishing independently with us means that we will work with the printer directly, and offer your book for sale through major distribution channels such as Amazon and Kindle. We will help promote your book through social media and platforms such as Goodreads, as well.
We can also help you design a strategic marketing plan to best reach your target audience. We're happy to discuss this as an additional offering.
